Hospice to me is about caring, compassion, dedication, patience, love, family, friends, strangers, the elderly, the unfortunate, and everyone and every thing in between. Hospice takes such a large role in both my life and my families I do not know where we would be without it. Cindy has such a passion for this thing called hospice that it could take your breathe away. Cindy is so amazing that she has built an army of skilled medical professionals to help those in need and to help those who can no longer help themselves. I personally have never seen half of the amazing things that hospice can provide, and more importantly what Heart ‘n Home Hospice & Palliative Care can provide, but I have heard about them through the many stories and tears that people have shared with me and that is enough to keep me inspired. In my job I do not get to see the gratification or the satisfaction that our staff can provide, but I do support those who do, and that makes my job and my purpose all worthwhile. In this day and age it is great to be part of an organization that helps people instead of taking advantage of them. It is important in life to know that you make a difference to know that your existence has a purpose, and I know that every day that I am a part of hospice I am a part of something bigger than myself, that I am contributing to the greater good. To know that I am leaving this world a better place than I found it.
