Medical, Dental and Vision InsuranceHeart ‘n Home offers excellent benefits to all full-time employees, paid for 100%! Medical coverage is provided through Regence BlueShield, while dental and vision is provided through Ameritas. Insurance benefits begin on the first day of the month after employment begins. If medical insurance is not something you desire, we also offer a monthly insurance waiver to those who do not participate with our group plan. Supplemental InsuranceWashington National is a pre-taxed, supplemental health insurance that can help pay for costs associated with the care and treatment of a disability, injury, or critical illness. This optional benefit is paid for by the employee, at a group discounted rate, and is deducted from their paycheck upon request. Individual plans include accidental, cancer, heart/stroke, hospital, and Medicare supplement. |
401(k) PlanHeart ‘n Home offers a 401(k) retirement plan through Nationwide that allows the employee to put a percent of earned wages into a tax-deferred investment account. Participation is open to both part-time and full-time employees upon hire. Our Nationwide representative will personally meet with our employees upon request. Heart ‘n Home makes an annual safe harbor matching contribution of 100% of the first 3% of compensation contributed by the employee and 50% of the next 2% contributed by the employee. Pre-Paid LegalHeart ‘n Home has partnered with Pre-Paid Legal Services to offer preventative legal assistance and/or Identity Theft Shield to our employees. This is an added benefit that employees may select and receive automatic payroll deduction for the monthly fees. |
The goal of providing generous earned leave is twofold: first, we want our employees to enjoy time with family and friends and second, it prevents burnout. Earned leave will be available upone hire. Employees earn 8 hours each month for the first 3 years, with earned leave increasing thereafter. That’s 12 days of vacation a year! Part-time employees also receive generous earned leave hours with a calculation based upon the hours they work.

Some additional benefits we offer our employees are the tools required to provide legendary service to our patients and those who love them. Along with these tools we have an amazing IT Department to support our employees with education, technical issues, and any questions they may have.
A laptop is supplied to eligible employees in order to enhance the hospice care provided to our patients. Less paperwork for our employees, more accurate information, and legendary care for our patients are a few reasons why we use laptops. This technology allows each patient’s information to be available immediately to all care providers, ensuring that we have the most up-to-date information available for each patient.
Eligible employees are issued a company cell phone upon hire. Cell phones are a perfect way to schedule appointments, text, email, and call fellow coworkers and patients in order to provide legendary service. We are all about options and also allow employees to use their company phone for personal use with nominal fee or we will pay you a flat rate if you would prefer to use your personal cell phone.
